Rafting up like that changes the space. Six hulls together stop reading as boats and become one floor, and with the temple standing over the cape the setting had already done most of the work before we switched anything on.
Our job was to stay out of its way. No direction and no setups. We blended into the party and shot it as it happened, and had a good time doing it. That usually shows: footage of a night people enjoyed tends to look like one.
The result is film and stills that read as atmosphere rather than advertising, the character of the brand shown through the evening it put on, which is a harder thing to fake than a product shot.
